A leading research university in Halifax is seeking a Custodian for full-time cleaning duties across its facilities. Applicants should have prior cleaning experience, be reliable and punctual, with strong communication and organizational skills. This position requires in-person work on campus, and includes physically demanding tasks. Hourly rate starts at $20.71.

Reporting to Environmental Services supervisors, Custodians are responsible for performing cleaning and related duties for all assigned University buildings. Areas of responsibility include classrooms, laboratories, clinics, offices, lounges, washrooms, hallways, stairwells, entrances and other designated building spaces, as required.
This position is physically demanding. Extensive kneeling, bending, standing and squatting required.
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
