Job summary

Aramark in Bridgewater, NS is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor to lead a hands-on cleaning team, oversee daily operations, and uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness.

This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday–Friday day schedule, health and dental benefits, paid vacation and sick time, uniforms and safety shoes, up to 50% reimbursement on professional development initiatives, and opportunities for advancement within Aramark.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Completion of secondary school required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in prioritization of tasks and time management.
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of occupational health and safety.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with team members and Manager to ensure smooth operations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, reaching, turning).

As our Custodial Services Supervisor at the Michelin Tire Plant in Bridgewater, NS, you will be the driving force behind a safe, clean, and smoothly run facility. Working closely with the Custodial Services Manager, you’ll lead a hands-on cleaning team, oversee daily operations, and keep standards exceptionally high.

Job Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire:Coordinate, supervise, and develop team members through coaching, recruitment, and hands-on support.

Maintain Operational Excellence:Inspect work zones to ensure all safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Hands-On Execution:Oversee and assist with general and specialized facility maintenance (trash removal, floor care like buffing/stripping/waxing, carpet cleaning, window washing, and thorough disinfecting).

Admin & Scheduling:Assist with labor scheduling, monitor staffing needs, and help manage inventory, purchasing, and billing.

Safety & Compliance:Ensure full team compliance with all Aramark and client policies, Provincial OH&S, and WHMIS regulations.

Client & Team Relations:Resolve internal or customer concerns with urgency, respect, and utmost professionalism.
