Curriculum Laboratory Student Assistants support a variety of functions and services throughout the Curriculum Lab. Duties may include but are not limited to: preparing materials for circulation, maintaining Curriculum Lab collections (cleaning, shelving, shifting collections, etc.), basic data entry, book repairs, creating bulletin board displays, and other general office duties, including special projects as required.

Hours of work: Part-time hours, ranging between 6-10 hours per week. Shifts will be scheduled during regular Curriculum Lab hours (Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) and will be flexible around any scheduled classes. Submit your Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 Class Schedule along with your application.

Starting wage: $17.20 per hour.

Hiring Criteria:

  • Must be a full or part-time student (Lethbridge Campus).
  • Evidence of the skills required to perform the duties assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills.

Further knowledge and skills that are beneficial include:

  • Previous experience in a library environment (knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification System).
  • Creative/artistic skills to assist with displays.
  • Proficiency in common creative (e.g., Canva) and productivity (e.g., Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office) applications.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) and Hiring Range indicated in Position Details. Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) is provided where applicable.
