University of Ottawa is seeking teaching assistants for Calculus for the Life Sciences II (MAT-1332) in the 2027 Winter Semester. Work is in person with 50 hours of student contact and TA duties totaling fifty hours across specified sections.

Undergraduate students earn the lower rate ($32.84 CAD/hour) and graduates the higher rate ($51.75 CAD/hour); rates exclude vacation and statutory pay. Positions start Jan 1, 2027 and end Apr 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Student with a minimum of 30 credits in mathematics and statistics.
• Strong understanding of the subjects to provide TA support.
• Priority will be given to Graduate students in the Mathematics and Statistics Department.

Requirements and Nature of Work

Student with a minimum of 30 credits in mathematics and statistics and strong understanding of the subjects to provide:

TA 50H

• Option 1
  • DGD B01: Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 9:50 am
  • DGD B02: Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:50 pm
• Option 2
  • DGD B03: Fridays from 1:00 pm to 2:20 pm
  • DGD B04: Tuesdays from 11:30 am to 12:50 pm

Priority will be given to the Graduate students in the Mathematics and Statistic Department.
