The University of Ottawa – Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering_ST, seeks a Teaching Assistant/ Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) for the MCG1502 Dessin mécanique course (Section A) at Main Campus during the 2027 Winter Semester. The role is delivered in French and in person.

The TA will provide lab and tutorial support, assist with student consultations and marking, and proctor exams.

Qualifications

• Must have completed undergraduate mechanical engineering courses.
• Strong subject knowledge in mechanical engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work in person throughout the course session.
• Ability to proctor the final exam.

Responsabilités

• Provide teaching assistant support for the course supervisor, including lab/tutorial sessions.
• Assist with student consultations and marking.
• Proctor exams as required.
• Allocate hours as directed by the supervisor.

Position Purpose:

Provide teaching assistant to the course supervisor, conducting LAB/TUT, students consultation, marking and proctoring.

Allocation of hours and other duties will be specified by the supervisor.
