Job summary

Curaleaf International in Brampton is seeking a Cultivation Technician to support daily cultivation from propagation to harvest in a highly regulated facility.

You will work with Cultivation Team Leads to maintain healthy crops, ensure SOP compliance, and contribute to the production of medical cannabis products.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to quality in an EU-GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with plants, horticulture, or greenhouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant health through all cultivation stages from propagation to harvest.
• Carry out daily cultivation tasks including transplanting, pruning, watering, and harvesting.
• Identify pests, report issues, and support IPM activities.
• Maintain SOPs, quality requirements, and facility protocols.
• Assist with movement of plants and materials within the facility.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.

The Role

As a Cultivation Technician, you will support daily cultivation activities from propagation through to harvest. Working closely with Cultivation Team Leads and the Cultivation Manager, you will help maintain healthy crops, identify potential plant health issues, and ensure all activities are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.

Your work will directly contribute to the production of high-quality medical cannabis products and the continued success of our cultivation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain plant health throughout all stages of cultivation, from propagation to harvest.
• Perform daily cultivation activities including transplanting, pruning, watering, canopy management, and harvesting.
• Identify and report signs of pests, pathogens, nutrient deficiencies, or other plant health concerns.
• Support integrated pest management activities through preventative and corrective actions.
• Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, quality requirements, and facility protocols.
• Carry out daily sanitation and cleaning activities within cultivation areas and equipment.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain cultivation tools and equipment.
• Assist with the movement of plants, substrates, and cultivation materials throughout the facility.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve cultivation processes, efficiency, and quality.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with plants, horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse operations, or within a food-grade manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures accurately.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Comfortable working within a highly regulated cultivation or manufacturing environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work a permanent Sunday to Wednesday schedule.

Preferred

• Previous experience within a licensed cannabis production facility (LP).
• Experience working within a commercial greenhouse or controlled-environment agriculture facility.
• Knowledge of cannabis cultivation practices and plant biology.
• Understanding of GACP and/or GMP standards.
• Experience working within regulated quality environments.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods, often throughout a shift.
• Lifting and carrying up to 25kg (55lbs).
• Regular bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
• Performing repetitive tasks using hands and wrists.
