Coast Mountain Cannabis is seeking motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Cultivation Associates to support daily cultivation operations within our living soil organic cannabis facility. Cultivation Associates will receive comprehensive training across all stages of cannabis cultivation and post-harvest operations, enabling progression through technical skills and production exposure.

You will work closely with Cultivation Leads, Supervisors, and Managers to maintain quality and safety

Responsibilities

  • Plant Care & Crop Maintenance: assist with transplanting, watering, pruning, defoliation, staking, trellising, and crop maintenance.
  • Irrigation & Nutrition: support organic nutrient application, soil amendments, and irrigation schedules.
  • Harvest & Post-Harvest Support: participate in harvesting, hanging, drying, curing, trimming, and handling material.
  • Cleaning, Sanitation & Facilities: maintain clean and sanitary work areas; follow GMP and safety procedures.
  • Documentation & Compliance: complete records and follow SOPs; report deviations and safety concerns.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: collaborate with Leads, Supervisors, and Managers; maintain a positive attitude.

Job description

Position Summary

Coast Mountain Cannabis is seeking motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Cultivation Associates to support daily cultivation operations within our living soil organic cannabis facility.

Cultivation Associates are responsible for executing assigned cultivation tasks safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This role provides comprehensive training across all stages of cannabis cultivation and post-harvest operations, allowing employees to develop technical skills and gain exposure to all aspects of production.

Cultivation Associates work closely with Cultivation Leads, Supervisors, and Managers while contributing to a positive, productive, and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Care & Crop Maintenance
  • Assist with daily plant care activities including transplanting, watering, pruning, defoliation, staking, trellising, and crop maintenance.
  • Follow established cultivation procedures to support plant health, quality, and productivity.
  • Observe plants for signs of pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, environmental stress, or other abnormalities and report concerns to a Lead or Supervisor.
  • Support integrated pest management (IPM) activities as directed.
Irrigation & Nutrition
  • Assist with preparation and application of organic nutrients, compost teas, top dressings, and soil amendments.
  • Support irrigation activities according to established cultivation schedules.
  • Follow nutrient recipes, application instructions, and cultivation protocols accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining irrigation equipment and systems.
Harvest & Post-Harvest Support
  • Participate in harvesting, hanging, drying, curing, trimming, and related post-harvest activities.
  • Handle cannabis material carefully and according to company standards.
  • Support quality preservation throughout post-harvest processes.
  • Assist with movement, storage, and organization of harvested material.
Cleaning, Sanitation & Facilities
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas.
  • Participate in routine cleaning and sanitation activities.
  • Properly clean and store equipment after use.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and Good Production Practices (GPP).
  • Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness and operational readiness.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete assigned records accurately and on time.
  • Follow company SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Report deviations, errors, safety concerns, or operational issues promptly.
  • Support audit readiness through accurate recordkeeping and adherence to procedures.
Teamwork & Professionalism
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with Associates, Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support cultivation and company objectives.
