Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Radiological Technologist to join the Computed Tomography team at the Whistler Health Centre, Whistler, BC. The role involves performing CT examinations, ensuring radiation safety, and preparing patients while operating imaging equipment and entering data into the RIS.

The position requires CAMRT CT certification, completion of an advanced CT program, one year CT experience preferred, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of standards of practice for Medical Imaging practitioners.
• Evidence-based practice related to CT and radiology.
• Ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
• Experience with PACS/radiology information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform special procedure examinations in CT and observe radiation protection practices.
• Receive and complete requisitions and enter data into the radiology information system.
• Prepare examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
• Operate CT imaging equipment and monitor patient and equipment performance.
• Ensure safety and quality in imaging procedures.
