Job summary

Hammerstone Infrastructure Materials Ltd in Alberta is seeking a Crusher Operator to join a team-focused operation at the Quarry. This role will contribute to safe, efficient crushing in a large-scale limestone operations environment.

You will operate crushers, adjust equipment, and assist with routine maintenance while complying with CSTS and PDA requirements; work days and nights in varied weather, with lodging and travel support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a 5-year clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment PDA
  • CSTS certification required

Responsibilities

  • Operate crusher in a team environment with emphasis on safety and efficiency
  • Perform equipment adjustments and routine maintenance
  • Support maintenance and servicing of cone liners, jaw plates, screens, gearboxes, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate tasks

Job description

Located in the heart of the mineable oil sands of Alberta, the Hammerstone Quarry is one of the largest limestone quarries in Western Canada. The Quarry provides a year-round source of quality limestone aggregates that are essential to the growth, operational sustainability and environmental performance of the Alberta oil sands industry.

Hammerstone is currently seeking a Crusher Operator that will be primarily responsible for working in a team environment where individual input is not just valued but expected. Qualifications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a 5-year clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) representative of the work required
  • Canadian Safety Training System (CSTS) certification is required
  • Additional safety training is considered an asset
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with aggregate crushing operations, including equipment adjustments and repairs
  • Experience operating some or all of the following equipment: skid steer, zoom boom, aerial lift, tele-stacker
  • Experience performing maintenance and servicing on equipment such as cone liners, jaw plates, screens, gearboxes, etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience is considered an asset
General
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also working independently and self-directed as required
