A Canadian government agency is seeking a Crown Prosecutor in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor, with relevant legal experience. Job Title: Crown Prosecutor (Classifications: Crown Prosecutor 1–3)
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (full‑time)
Classification: Crown Prosecutor 1 – 3 (Open Competition, permanent)

Salary: Crown Prosecutor 1 – $3,854.79 to $4,855.92 bi‑weekly ($100,610.02 to $126,739.51 annually); Crown Prosecutor 2 – $5,462.50 to $6,764.60 bi‑weekly ($142,571.25 to $176,556.06 annually); Crown Prosecutor 3 – $7,275.46 to $8,067.13 bi‑weekly ($189,889.50 to $210,552.09 annually)
Retention Incentive: 10% of the current salary after one year of continuous employment at the Grande Prairie office. Crown prosecutors also receive one earned day off per month for excess hours worked.
As a Crown Prosecutor you will deliver justice through fearless, fair and effective prosecutions. Core duties include:
