A healthcare provider in Canada seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to patients in a hospital or community setting. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in Critical Care and must be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role, alongside the ability to manage workload effectively.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Education, Training And Experience
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Minimum 2 years recent Critical Care nursing experience and or an accredited Critical Care course. Demonstrated ability in arrhythmia interpretation as evidenced by a mark of 75% on the VIHA ECG Challenge exam. Advanced Cardiac Life Support is an asset.
