Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a relief part-time (0.88 FTE) Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Crisis Response Worker to join our MH Crisis Response team in Kelowna, B.C. This relief position is until the return of the incumbent.

This role involves mobile and community-based crisis response within an interdisciplinary team, providing crisis intervention, assessments, and short-term treatment planning for individuals with acute mental health or substance use concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience providing mental health and substance use assessment and crisis response services is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis response, assessment, suicide intervention, and time-limited case management.
• Offer short-term treatment planning and rapid response to clients with serious mental health or substance use concerns.
• Deliver mobile and community-based services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, treatment formulations, and progress notes.
• Establish effective working linkages with service providers and coordinate discharge planning.
