Job summary

The University of Ottawa seeks a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the Criminology course CRM2305 (Police in Modern Society) at Main Campus during the 2027 Winter Semester. The position includes in-person delivery, discussion groups, grading, and proctoring exams under supervisor Wayne Hanniman.

January to April 2027 with 117 total hours. Undergraduate students are paid at the lower rate and graduate students at the higher rate, with vacation and statutory pay not included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminology or equivalent.
• Ability to assist with grading and supervising discussions or labs.

Responsibilities

• Various responsibilities such as discussion groups, marking of papers and exams, office hours to meet with students, and proctor at exams.
• Attend lectures if requested by supervisor.
