Salary Information: $74 849,32 – $88 142,60 annually (2025 rates of pay).

Supervisor's Title: Supervisor Criminal Intelligence Monitor

Effective Date: October 2025

Overall Purpose

Under the supervision of the Supervisor Criminal Intelligence Monitors, the Criminal Intelligence Monitor is responsible for accurately transcribing, entering, summarizing, and maintaining data from various sources.

Major Responsibilities
  • Provide data entry and transcribing services for investigative units from various sources and prepare related documentation.
  • Collaborate with team to convey, correlate, and synthesize data.
  • Obtain and clarify information, receive direction, and accept feedback on work products.
  • Adapt to unforeseen demands and shifting priorities when handling multiple requests.
  • Attend court as required, provide testimony, and conduct oneself in a manner as directed by policy.
  • Abide by rules and restrictions that govern data handling.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Statement Of Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12 or equivalent) plus one (1) year relevant post secondary education. Experience and formal training combined may substitute for stipulated education requirements.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience managing a variety of complex, confidential and sensitive files, records, and procedures, and to securely protect private data and keep it safe from unauthorized access.
Language
  • Fluency in other languages.
  • Strong auditory sense.
  • Good communication skills.
Certifications and Licences

In-service Training

In-service training on specific software will be provided.

Job Knowledge

Working knowledge of the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Effort and Working Conditions
  • Visual – frequent use of a computer screen while keyboarding for long periods of time.
  • Must maintain high levels of concentration to ascertain relevant information.
  • Performs work in a high security environment; in a locked room with restricted access.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous data entry experience.
  • Typing rate of at least 42 wpm.
  • Skilled in using computer software (Microsoft Suite) with strong typing and keyboarding abilities.
  • Excellent listening and analytical skills.
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience resolving technical problems with equipment such as malfunctions.
  • Extensive knowledge of rules and restrictions that govern data handling.
