Job Description
Shiftwork will be required during winter months. Stand‑by rotation and overtime opportunities.
We dedicate ourselves to keeping your commute safe and comfortable through a comprehensive year‑round maintenance program. Our dedicated crews tackle a variety of tasks to ensure smooth and reliable roadways. During the summer our crews install guideposts and guiderails, perform landscaping duties such as mowing grass, tree and brush removal, and maintain drainage systems by cleaning ditches and culverts. In the winter our focus shifts to snow and ice management, which involves erecting and removing snow fences, stockpiling salt and sand, and conducting night patrols for snow plowing. These comprehensive maintenance efforts ensure that the roads remain safe and passable throughout the year.
Under general supervision, you'll play a vital role in maintaining Peel Region's road network by performing both manual and equipment operating duties.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are currently in the CUPE Local 966-Public Works bargaining unit.
Our recruitment process will include video conference technology.
