Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. – Toronto, ON is seeking a Business Analyst for Counterparty Credit Risk, Regulatory Reporting and SQL, offering hybrid work (4 days WFO).

The BA will map data, create reporting requirements, coordinate testing, and liaise with IT to ensure successful delivery. Ideal candidates have banking/consulting system implementation experience, strong SQL skills across Hive, MS SQL Server, Teradata, and Dremio, and solid knowledge of SDLC and Agile, with advanced MS Office

Qualifications

• Experience in systems implementation, process improvements or systems re-engineering projects with a banking organization or consulting company.
• Undergraduate degree or higher, preferable in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance.
• Knowledge of SDLC lifecycle, Agile, others.
• Experience in SQL through HIVE, MS SQL server, Teradata, HUE, Dremio, etc.
• Advance MSWord, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, Visio, MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Understand the counterparty credit exposure measurement for various products.
• Map source data to internal monitoring reporting (e.g., Counterparty concentration Report; external regulatory reporting LEF/SCCL).
• Support production related items.
• Create mapping logic for reporting or document requirements; liaise with IT developers.
• Plan and coordinate user testing; communicate status to leadership and PMs.
• Understand product attributes (Lending, Facility, Security, SFT, Derivative, etc.).
• Learn new concepts quickly (CDS, SFT, Derivative, Guarantees, LC Fronting).
• Perform data gap analysis; create reporting mappings or requirements.
• Communicate requirements to development and QA; perform and coordinate UAT testing.
• Support process re-engineering and documentation; assist training.
