Job description

We are seeking three highly organized and detail-focused Credit Application Analysts to provide critical operational support to the Credit Underwriting function, specifically within Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) products. This role is focused entirely on document compliance, submission quality, and data accuracy across single to multi-step transactions. This is an excellent entry point into the underwriting stream, offering a clear pathway to advanced roles based on performance.

Work Location: Primarily Onsite at Edmonton. Candidates must be local and available to work 4 days per week in the office (this is a strict requirement with no exceptions).

Schedule: Rotational shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Weekend work is mandatory (one Saturday every 4 to 5 weeks).

Responsibilities
  • Document Compliance & Review: Support the Sales Channel by meticulously reviewing, updating, and analyzing all credit documentation to ensure complete accuracy and strict adherence to all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to business partners by ensuring complete and accurate data input into the origination system, thereby assisting in the preparation of loan documentation.
  • Transaction Processing: Complete a range of responsibilities associated with Real Estate Secured Lending products, involving single or multiple steps across several systems and applications.
  • Quality Control: Reconcile, verify, and process all required credit support material and documentation for transactions, completing quality control analysis and ensuring the documentation accurately reflects business intentions.
  • SLA Adherence: Prioritize and manage individual workload to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements for both service delivery and productivity.
  • Credit Policy Interpretation: Apply knowledge to interpret credit policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure loan documents meet applicable standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a professional or corporate environment.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma is required.
  • Core Skills: Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written) and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and applications, managing high volumes of data input.
  • Commitment to Location: Must be local to Edmonton and fully commit to the mandatory 4-days per week on-site schedule and rotational shifts.
  • Licensing Constraint: Must NOT hold a current Mortgage or Real Estate license (this is a strict disqualifier).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience or understanding of mortgage lending concepts or the RESL product suite.
  • Experience in data reconciliation or quality assurance within a financial setting.
