A performance-minded creative who builds high-performing Meta ads through sharp hooks, angles, and avatar-driven messaging. This role blends psychology, storytelling, and data-turning customer insights into high-impact creatives that convert.
You will:
- Work directly with our clients and media team

- concept ads engineered for Meta performance

SWTCH HOUSE is a boutique family run performance-driven ad agency (From Vancouver Island, Canada) working exclusively with modern DTC beauty, skincare, wellness brands.
Our mandate is simple:
drive DTC revenue + new customer acquisition through performance channels-primarily Meta.
Because the Meta algorithm has shifted (2024–2025), creative now determines 80–90% of performance.
Meaning:
creative > angles > psychology > hooks = scale
media buying = optimization
This hire must understand that.
How Meta Works Now (2024–2025)
This role exists because Meta is now creative-led:
1. Hooks drive 80% of outcomes
The first 1–2 seconds determine delivery.
Pattern disruption, POV, founder cams, curiosity, tension → winners.
2. Angles must map to emotional state
The algorithm rewards ads that communicate:
- the problem
- the tension
- the desired future state
- the transformation
3. Iteration is everything
Winning brands produce:
- 10–15+ creatives/month
- multiple angles per avatar
- constant testing
- fast refresh cycles
4. Creators outperform production
UGC > high production (unless production still has a sharp angle)
5. Message architecture > pretty visuals
Winning brands rely on:
- state-shift messaging
- identity-based angles
- social proof
- problem/solution proof
- founder story
- education
- objection-handling
This is EXACTLY the work you’ll lead.
What You’ll Do (Role Responsibilities)
1. Creative Strategy (The Brain Behind Performance)
- Concept ads using hooks, angles, and avatar-specific insights
- Write messaging frameworks, scripts, captions, and high-performing angles
- Identify customer avatars + emotional drivers
- Extract insights from Reddit, reviews, TikTok comments, and competitor ads
- Map problem → tension → desire → transformation into ads
- Build concepts engineered for scroll-stop + conversion
- Support media buyers with creative next steps
2. Creative Direction
- Create clear briefs for UGC creators
- Guide what founders need to film (POV, routines, problem/solution, etc.)
- Approve creative submissions for performance potential
- Direct editors on pacing, hooks, overlays, story arcs
- Ensure all creative maps to strategic angles
- Maintain brand voice + emotional tone across assets
3. Performance Feedback Loop
- Review Meta breakdowns weekly
- Spot early indicators of winners
- Refresh hooks + angles quickly
- Request new UGC or revisions as needed
- Kill underperformers fast
- Own the creative testing calendar
- Work with media buyers to scale winning concepts
4. Creative Production
- Design static ads + graphics (Canva + Adobe)
- Edit short-form videos optimized for Meta delivery
- Build scroll-stopping content that fits algorithmic best practices
- Ensure pacing, subtitles, on-screen text, and structure follow modern Meta “rules”
5. UGC Creator Management
- Manage the full UGC pipeline from onboarding → delivery
- Handle creator communication, briefs, deadlines, and revisions
- Maintain and update our creator database
- Enter $0 Shopify orders for product shipments
- Join client calls to pitch creative direction
- Keep creators aligned with brand voice + performance expectations
Must-Have Experience
- 3–5 years in a performance-oriented agency or similar
- Experience with UGC direction, ad design, copywriting, and/or short-form editing
- Ability to write hooks, angles, and strong messaging
- Canva + Adobe proficiencyUnderstanding of Meta’s performance ecosystem
- Strong research skills (Reddit, competitors, customer insights)
- Strong communication + high taste level
- Excellent organization and time-management
