Job summary

Star Building Materials in Winnipeg, MB, is hiring a Class 3 Crane/Boom Truck Driver to deliver building materials to customer homes and construction sites. You will load, transport and unload materials manually, while ensuring safety and excellent service.

The role requires a Class 3 licence, basic crane delivery experience, and a focus on accurate paperwork and safe routes. Expect outdoor, active work with possible overtime and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant delivery/crane experience.
• Criminal record check verification.
• Successful completion of physical assessment.
• Valid Class 3 driverfs licence and a satisfactory driving record.
• Attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination and situational awareness.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift up to 85 lbs. without equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customer homes or construction sites.
• Load, transport and unload materials manually.
• Provide excellent customer service as a company representative.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently, minimizing yard downtime.
• Assist forklift operators loading trucks as needed.
• Verify accuracy of shipping documents.
• Deliver materials via efficient routes while staying on schedule.
• Operate delivery units with courtesy and per provincial regulations.
