Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Barista to prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and related items to customers at our Calgary location.

You will welcome customers, explain the menu, and educate them on coffee options while maintaining a clean and inviting coffee bar. Prior barista experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service-oriented role requiring friendly interaction with customers.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Previous barista experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Explain the coffee drink menu and answer questions.
• Prepare drinks following recipes and techniques (espresso, latte, cappuccino).
• Demonstrate differences in beans and equipment; show how machines work.
• Stock beans and pastries; maintain coffee bar supplies.
• Keep equipment running; perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary work environment.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance quality and store appearance.
