Job summary

Mount Royal University in Calgary is seeking a Courts Operations Team Member to support concessions and admissions during Cougar home games. This flexible, hybrid role involves weekend and evening shifts with a variable schedule between three and thirty-five hours per week.

You will handle food and beverage service, ticket sales and scanning, and ensure a safe, clean, compliant environment, including alcohol service regulations. Certification in Food Handling and Alberta ProServe are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in food services.

• Ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.

Courts Operations Team Member

About the Role

Working within the Cougars Athletics and Recreation Department, this flexible position has a variable work schedule and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week. Weekend and evening work is required. These positions will end March 31, 2027. The position will assist with providing an exceptional experience to MRU fans by serving customers at the Cougars concessions and admissions during soccer, volleyball and basketball home games. Food Handler Certificate and Alberta ProServe certificate are required. The candidate should be available to work all soccer, volleyball and basketball home games, primarily on Fridays, Saturdays from October through March, with some Sunday shifts in September and October. Employees will be scheduled for either a concessions shift, or an admissions shift, but may be expected to assist in other areas as needed. The successful candidates may be required to cover shifts at MRU Hockey games at Flames Community Arena, as necessary.
