JOB SUMMARY

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for delivering blood products to customer locations and performing scheduled blood pick-ups at Mobile and Donor Center locations. Delivers supplies to the assigned locations.

SCHEDULE
  • Part-time position, approximately 19 hours/week
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Picks up blood at donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled.
  • Delivers supplies to donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled.
  • Delivers and returns blood products, to include assigned STAT orders, to customer locations while providing a high-level of customer service.
  • Returns trash and biowaste from donor centers and deposits it in the appropriate place.
  • Identifies and reports any routine or non-routine vehicle needs or issues and notifies Supervisor, Inventory Management of additional maintenance needs.
  • Maintains assigned vehicle in an appropriate manner to include washing and vacuuming and ensuring gas tanks are filled as necessary.
  • Prepares shipping boxes and shipping supplies as assigned.
  • Practices safe and compliant driving practices at all times.
  • Performs special projects as requested.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs or directives.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School education, or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to organize daily work around scheduled blood pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Able to follow directions with accuracy.
  • Employee must be able to lift objects or materials weighing up to 50
