JOB SUMMARY
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for delivering blood products to customer locations and performing scheduled blood pick-ups at Mobile and Donor Center locations. Delivers supplies to the assigned locations.
SCHEDULE
- Part-time position, approximately 19 hours/week
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Picks up blood at donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled.
- Delivers supplies to donor centers and mobile drives as scheduled.
- Delivers and returns blood products, to include assigned STAT orders, to customer locations while providing a high-level of customer service.
- Returns trash and biowaste from donor centers and deposits it in the appropriate place.
- Identifies and reports any routine or non-routine vehicle needs or issues and notifies Supervisor, Inventory Management of additional maintenance needs.
- Maintains assigned vehicle in an appropriate manner to include washing and vacuuming and ensuring gas tanks are filled as necessary.
- Prepares shipping boxes and shipping supplies as assigned.
- Practices safe and compliant driving practices at all times.
- Performs special projects as requested.
- Complies with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs or directives.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School education, or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to organize daily work around scheduled blood pick-ups and deliveries.
- Able to follow directions with accuracy.
- Employee must be able to lift objects or materials weighing up to 50
