Job summary

LifeLabs in London, Ontario seeks a Casual (Float) Courier to transport specimens, supplies and reports on an overnight route to Toronto, while representing the LifeLabs brand with professionalism and integrity. You’ll ensure timely deliveries, maintain specimen integrity and provide friendly, reliable service in varying driving conditions.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a full valid driver’s license with a clean record, 3 years of driving experience, ability to lift

As a Courier, you will be responsible for transporting specimens, supplies, and reports in an efficient, dependable, punctual, proper, safe, and professional manner. You will also be a LifeLabs brand ambassador on the road, demonstrating the important service LifeLabs provides to the community while maintaining our established reputation.

Status: Casual (Float)

Shift: 8:30pm - 3:30am

Location: 177 Exeter Rd, London, ON

Additional Requirements: This role is for an overnight route to Toronto covering a sick leave. This route goes directly from London to Toronto shift times are 8:30PM-3:30AM

Please note: all company vehicles have a Telematics system to monitor driving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely transport specimens in a timely manner to preserve specimen integrity, while ensuring a high level of maturity, customer service, and accountability in various driving conditions, rural or urban areas, during daytime and evening hours.
• Represent the LifeLabs brand with professionalism and integrity by providing a positive experience at every touch point.
• Utilize LifeLabs technology to access and complete on-line readings and training, read emails and complete timecards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling all situations with professionalism.

What you will bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A full valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
• 3 years of driving experience with a full valid license
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds: some heavy lifting will be involved.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to work a specified route schedule
• Requires successful completion of LifeLabs Driver Performance Evaluation.
• Flexible work hours and availability for sudden shift changes
