Job summary

Calgary Granite and Marble is seeking a dedicated installer to transport and install granite and quartz countertops, ensuring precise seams and proper fixtures. You will read blueprints, measure and cut stone blocks to spec, and maintain safety standards on site.

This role requires 7–12 months of polishing/stone finishing experience, a hardworking attitude, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license are assets.

Salary: $27/hour, 40 hours per week

Duties and responsibilities:

Transport Stone countertops to specific job sites
Install granite or quartz countertops efficiently and professionally, make sure that all seams are tight and fixtures are properly installed, and ensure that they meet company standards.
Read blueprints and work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions
Clean up the work site after installation
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as required
Work in a safe manner that complies with the company’s safety guidelines

Requirements:

Some secondary school education is required
7 to 12 months of experience in polishing, stone finishing and installation experience
Hardworking, able to work long hours
Willing to go out of town when needed
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
Punctual, reliable, and teamwork-minded
Attention to detail and willing to learn
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
