Position Description

As the Cost Accountant, you will collaborate across all business areas related to product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. You will leverage your expertise to support the sales team with new product cost estimates, assist the operations team with manufacturing costs, and coordinate with the finance team on monthly and quarterly reports.

You will supervise the senior financial analyst and share insights with the Head of Finance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage Request for Costing processes supporting business development
  • Drive costing and reporting initiatives
  • Utilize SAP to manage costing and analysis tasks
  • Conduct variance analysis and oversee standard costs
  • Develop standard and conversion costs, allocate overhead, and determine activity rates
  • Prepare and submit financial reports on schedule (monthly and quarterly)
  • Assist in preparing the annual operations budget in collaboration with supply chain and operations teams
  • Supervise the senior financial analyst
  • Support internal and external audits as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations
Experience & Qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environments
  • CPA or CMA designation
  • Extensive SAP experience in costing and operations analysis
  • Strong computer skills, especially advanced MS Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, supervisory, and independent working skills
Education

CPA or CMA designation required.
