Job description
Position Summary

As Semex’s Corporate Photographer & Content Creator, you are key in bringing our story, brand, products, and initiatives to life. Combining your technical expertise with creative storytelling will produce engaging visuals for marketing campaigns, corporate communications, events, and global sales initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Global Branding, this is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the Guelph location.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Photo Team to photograph bulls, progeny, and donors at company facilities and partner farms.

  • Capture, edit, and produce professional photography and video content for corporate campaigns, print and digital marketing collateral, training programs, product launches, and internal communications.

  • Produce corporate portraits, team photos, and professional headshots.

  • Develop creative visual concepts aligned with brand guidelines and marketing strategy.

  • Provide event coverage for industry and corporate events and activities.

  • Source and cultivate international imagery resources that support global marketing and product sales.

  • Maintain photography/videography equipment, as well as a digital asset library.

  • Collaborate with Semex’s Marketing, Design, Product, and Solutions Teams to ensure consistent visual storytelling.


Key Skills & Requirements


  • Degree or diploma in Photography, Videography, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in photography, videography, or visual storytelling.

  • Strong work portfolio showcasing livestock photography, as well as video content.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

  • Strong creative eye, attention to detail, understanding of brand storytelling

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for events and shoots.

  • Self-starter who stays up to date on trends in photography, filmmaking, animation, and design
