Corporate Law Clerk

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate documentation including articles of incorporation, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, and revivals
  • Draft resolutions and other transactional documents
  • Register business names and maintain corporate records
  • Conduct corporate and regulatory searches
  • Prepare and file annual resolutions and compliance documents
  • Manage and coordinate a busy lawyer’s calendar, meetings, and deadlines
  • Provide general administrative and legal support within a fast-paced corporate practice
  • Assist with PPSA registrations and filings
  • Utilize legal tools and software such as Appara, MS Office, NetDocuments, Soluno

Qualifications

  • Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma (or equivalent education)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a corporate law role
  • Proficiency with legal software and document management tools; experience with Appara, NetDocuments, Soluno, and PPSA systems is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with lawyers, clients, and professionals
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive
