Job summary

AGA Benefit Solutions in Montreal seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to partner with executives and technology teams to define target architectures and develop transformation roadmaps aligned with strategic priorities. You will promote governance practices, facilitate workshops, and ensure traceability of architectural decisions while guiding projects from current state to To-Be architectures.

A minimum of 7–15 years of relevant experience is expected, with TOGAF or equivalent knowledge

• Experience documenting complex, multidisciplinary environments and developing target architectures/roadmaps.
• Ability to work with executives, managers and SME s to drive alignment between business and technology.

Your mandate will consist in:

Your mandate will consist of supporting teams in understanding the current environment, documenting organizational assets, and defining target architectures that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Beyond their role as an architect, this individual will act as an ambassador for Enterprise Architecture, promoting the adoption of best practices, methodologies, and governance frameworks across all stakeholders. They will also help ensure alignment between business needs, technology solutions, and the organization’s strategic priorities, while fostering collaboration and consistency across the enterprise.

Your main tasks will include:

• Support business, operational, and technology teams in documenting the organization's current state;
• Map business capabilities, processes, applications, data, technologies, and governance mechanisms;
• Maintain a comprehensive and consistent architecture repository;
• Identify redundancies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement;
• Develop architecture views tailored to different audiences.

Target-State Architecture (To-Be)

• Define target architectures aligned with strategic objectives;
• Conduct gap analyses between the current and future states;
• Develop pragmatic and achievable transformation roadmaps;
• Contribute to the prioritization of initiatives based on business value, risks, and dependencies;
• Ensure alignment between projects and architectural direction.

Governance and Decision-Making

• Participate in architecture committees and governance processes;
• Assess projects, initiatives, and acquisitions from an architectural perspective;
• Provide recommendations to ensure alignment between strategy, operations, and technology;
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture methodologies, standards, principles, and models;
• Ensure the traceability of architectural decisions.

Advocacy and Change Management

• Promote the value of enterprise architecture among managers and teams;
• Facilitate discovery, analysis, and design workshops;
• Train and support process, application, and data owners;
• Develop accessible and engaging content tailored to different audiences to explain architectural concepts;
• Foster an environment that encourages the adoption of architecture and governance practices.

Required Qualifications:

Experience

• Minimum of 7 to 15 years of relevant experiencel
• Experience in enterprise architecture, business architecture, or organizational transformation;
• Experience documenting complex, multidisciplinary environments;
• Experience defining target architectures and developing roadmaps;
• Experience working with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
