Job summary

A recruitment firm is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join a high-performing finance team in Vancouver. This role offers the opportunity to support accounting processes and contribute to strategic improvements. Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of accounting experience, strong understanding of IFRS, and excellent Excel skills. The salary range is $65,000 to $75,000, and only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Support month-end close activities across multiple entities and currencies
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers
  • Assist in financial statement preparation under IFRS
  • Work closely with internal teams across regions to coordinate accounting inputs
  • Help identify and implement process improvements that reduce complexity or duplication
  • Support audits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Contribute to special projects related to systems, reporting, and controls
  • Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to streamline processes and drive efficiency
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the finance leadership team
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a global or multi-entity environment
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and functional currency concepts
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Experience working with foreign currencies or international operations is a strong asset
  • CPA designation in progress or interest in pursuing
  • Candidates from large organizations or public practice
Remuneration
  • $65,000 to $75,000
