Job summary

A healthcare organization in Belleville, Ontario is seeking an Entry-level Medical Laboratory Technologist. Join our core lab team and perform complex laboratory procedures essential for patient care. Applicants should have graduated from an accredited program and possess registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. This full-time position requires the ability to cope with a demanding workload while following our values of community care. Experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school for Laboratory Technologists (MLT students and new grads welcome).
  • Must have current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
  • Technical skills to perform essential duties as determined by Quinte Health.
  • Ability to handle a physically demanding workload.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various complex laboratory procedures involving professional judgement.
  • Conduct competency tests in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunohematology.
  • Apply principles of medical technology to produce reliable test results.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills

Graduated from an approved school for Laboratory Technologists
Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
Ability to perform essential duties of the position
Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload
