Job summary

Playground in Montreal is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming, and high-energy environment for guests and staff.

You will greet guests, manage access control, conduct patrols across interior and exterior areas, de-escalate conflicts, report incidents, and coordinate with local authorities as needed. A minimum of 2 years security experience and English fluency (French a strong asset) are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous security experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is a strong asset.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification (strong asset).
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical interventions when required.
• Flexibility required for shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
• Martial arts or defensive tactics experience is considered a strong asset.

• Dynamic Patrols: Maintain a high-profile presence across interior and exterior areas through regular patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Conflict Resolution: Apply effective de-escalation techniques when needed to maintain the "vibe" of the floor.
• Identify, address, and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or policy violations.
• Respond promptly to incidents, including removals when required, while maintaining professionalism and composure at all times.

• Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for First Aid or CPR situations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all guests meet legal standards and adhere to company policies to keep our environment safe and fair.

Full-Time: 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Must be available weekends.
