Job summary

A leading shipbuilding company in Halifax is seeking a detail-oriented Coordinator for Technical Information Requests (TIRs). In this role, you'll coordinate information flow between teams and stakeholders to support naval vessel delivery. Candidates should have a post-secondary qualification and at least 1 year of experience in a related field. This full-time position requires in-office presence and a strong ability to manage competing deadlines.

  • Support requests for Government Furnished Equipment, Facilities, Resources, or Services.
  • Continuously improve the TIR process for efficiency and compliance.

Are you a detail-oriented coordinator with a knack for managing complex processes and keeping stakeholders aligned? Irving Shipbuilding is looking for a Coordinator, Technical Information Requests (TIRs) to support the delivery of Canada’s next generation of naval vessels.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the link between internal teams, subcontractors, the Warship Designer, Canada, and vendors—ensuring technical information and government-furnished resources flow seamlessly through each stage of the design and build process. Your coordination will help drive business-critical, contractual scope across the enterprise.

Qualifications
  • A post-secondary qualification in Data Management, Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical or service-oriented role.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools like Windchill is an asset.
  • A process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
