Job description
Overview

The Coordinator, Security, provides security support services to the Client-Partners and the region. The incumbent ensures corporate and industrial security frameworks protect the organization against security threats and that adherence to industrial security requirements is maintained. Serves as the subject matter expert for security-related matters, reviews contractual requirements within the security scope, and ensures physical security measures are followed.

Key and Periodic Activities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:

Primary
  • Support other employees in implementing industrial security requirements
  • Review and comment on security implementation plans from the consultants and contractors
  • Collaborate with Client-Partner’s security personnel to ensure their security requirements are met
  • Monitor and act on security incidents and violations
  • Assist in the development of site-level security programs and policies
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and industrial security requirements
  • Support compliance with industrial security requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, Client-Partners and/or stakeholders
  • Manage risk
Other
  • Assist in training and compliance activities within the site
  • Organize security training and development at the site level
  • Prepare and provide advice on site security plans
  • Conduct annual security audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Location

Trenton, Ontario

Trenton is located an hour and a half east of Toronto on the Bay of Quinte. It is the starting point for the Trent-Severn Waterway and is near conservation areas, campsites, marinas and golf courses.

Security and Eligibility
