Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Coordinator, Safety and Loss Control to work with contractors and employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible work execution. You will help grow a program critical to the operation under direction from the Greenhills Line Creek Operations team.

The role requires self-motivation, strong communication, and the ability to build trust while driving safety initiatives across mining environments in the Elk Valley region.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Working knowledge of HSRC regulations or similar is required.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Health and Safety or OFA Level 3 would be an asset.
  • Relevant experience in mining or heavy industry is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Support operational groups with health and safety initiatives.
  • Complete health and safety audits and critical control verifications.
  • Coach, mentor, and support effective health and safety contract management strategies.
  • Develop and present health and safety materials to the crews and management.

About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Safety and Loss Control, the Coordinator, Safety and Loss Controlis responsible forworking with contractors and employees of varying backgrounds to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible execution of work and supporting high potential risk initiatives. With direction from the Greenhills Line Creek Operations team, the Coordinator, Safety and Loss Control will develop and grow a program that is critical to the success of the operation.

Salary range: 85,000 - 100,200 CAD/year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
