The Coordinator, Procurement will lead development and execution of aligned sourcing strategies and work plans supporting operational projects while collaborating with Nutrien’s internal customers as a Procurement business partner. Further, the Coordinator will support site‑level category strategy execution on expenditures and support and manage external supplier relationships. This is a 22 month fixed term position, starting in February 2026.

What You’ll Do:
  • Directly support and work with Site Procurement and Category Management team members executing various operational requirements for the Potash Business Unit, such as optimization through systemization and automation of inventory, and utilization of enabled systems (Ariba).
  • Facilitate and support end users’ needs for sourcing goods and services, including providing appropriate and timely input to planning of operational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best value for Nutrien is realized, balancing safety, quality, schedule, and costs.
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers and be a champion of Nutrien’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
  • Engage in a positive, collaborative and customer focused manner to support the Nutrien team on the key deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Provide critical thinking support on project and cross functional teams as required.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to source suppliers for goods and services to achieve the best overall value.
  • Become familiar with, and stay attuned to, the established and continually improving procurement processes and provide assessment and input to ensure policies and procedures.
  • Solve procurement process problems across all areas of the supply chain responsibility requiring critical thinking beyond specified process guidelines.
  • Support the Potash Business Unit strategies, ensuring safe, reliable production.
What You’ll Bring:
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience and understanding in Supply Chain Management, including, but not limited to sourcing, inventory, and expediting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management or related field would be considered an asset.
  • Exposure to procurement strategies for operations, maintenance and projects initiatives. A background in procurement in an industrial environment. Warehouse and materials management and inventory control experience will be considered an asset.
  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement, Inventory Management, Lean / Six Sigma, and Operational Planning is considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems and tools (MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, PowerBI).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EAM System, would be considered an asset.
  • An aptitude to learn and implement technological solutions with practical and timely approaches to creating efficient business solutions to operational problems, with a vision and mindset of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • High commitment and practice to safety.
  • A strength in project management, with a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, garner strong buy-in from stakeholders and be adaptable, flexible, and resilient.
