About the Role:

The Disney+ Canada Original Content Team is seeking a highly organized and proactiveCoordinatorto join our team based in Toronto. This role is pivotal in supporting content development within Disney's Corporate organization, helping connect world-class leaders and creative teams behind our global entertainment brands. Reporting into the Director, Development, this coordinator contributes to the planning, tracking, and communication that enables culturally resonant, high-quality scripted and unscripted content to move efficiently from concept through delivery for Canadian and international audiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is eager to contribute at both strategic and tactical levels within a lean, high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

In this early career, non-supervisory role, the Coordinator, Content supports the director and broader corporate content teams by organizing information, maintaining submission, development and production tracking, and preparing clear materials for executive and cross-functional stakeholders. The coordinator solves a range of problems, and helps explain complex information in a concise, accessible way-playing a key role in keeping Disney's content pipeline aligned, efficient, and strategically focused.

  • Support the Director, Development in day-to-day coordination of Canadian and international content development activities, ensuring alignment with broader Disney corporate and streaming strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-facing materials such as script coverage, status memos, slate overviews, meeting summaries, and content decks, distilling complex updates into clear, concise information for decision-makers.
  • Maintain submission, development and production tracking tools and grids, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information across projects and facilitating smooth information flow between internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Assist with sourcing, organizing, and tracking potential projects and intellectual property for development, supporting evaluations that consider creative potential, cultural authenticity, and strategic fit.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-ups with internal and external partners, incorporating the latest status updates and ensuring key points and decisions are captured and communicated.
  • Run point on delivery of screeners to teams by coordinating with assistants, post-production leads, and Pix.
  • Watch and track cuts, review scripts, and support creative executives with notes and feedback preparation. Assist in drafting responses to help sharpen communication and develop executive-level insight.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information related to unreleased content, talent, deals, and strategic plans with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Scheduling, Programming, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Business Affairs by providing organized materials and timely updates that help align development activities with broader business objectives.
  • Contribute to tracking performance and key learnings from projects, to help support content team generate future development priorities and strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume environmentin a television or media-related role, ideally within development, production, or content strategy.
  • Problem-solver with the ability to work independently while seeking moderate guidance as needed, comfortable analyzing options and recommending practical solutions.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and tailor materials for executive and cross-functional audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Collaborative, adaptable team player who works effectively with colleagues at all levels and across functions in support of shared goals.
  • Familiarity with internal tools for workflow and content tracking (e.g., Airtable, Box, Pix, Microsoft Suite, SharePoint)to manage documents, tracking grids, and presentations.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting content development, production, or commissioning in streaming, broadcast, or digital media environments.
  • Familiarity with development and production workflows, including reading materials, tracking cuts or deliverables, and preparing notes or feedback summaries.
  • Exposure to international or multicultural content environments and an interest in storytelling that reflects diverse audiences.
  • Undergraduate education in business or a related discipline.

The hiring range for this position in Ontario, Canada is C$64,100 to C$85,900 CAD per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
