Build Projects That Matter. Support construction excellence and Strengthen Canada.

Are you a construction professional who thrives in dynamic project environments and enjoys working closely with contractors, consultants, and clients to bring projects to life? Do you excel at solving challenges, building strong relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Coordinator, Construction Services, you'll play a key role in administering construction contracts and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure projects that directly support the Canadian Armed Forces. You'll be the connection between contractors, consultants, Client-Partners, and project teams, helping to manage risks, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward from start to finish.

By becoming a team member of a trusted partner of the Government of Canada and the Canadian construction industry since 1951, you will have the opportunity to deliver infrastructure and environmental solutions to support Canada’s troops and the defence of the Country. DCC is proud to be the first federal, and only government organization recognized as a Gold Seal Employer under the Canadian Construction Association’s Construction Management Certification Program and proof of our commitment to excellence and professional development.

What You’ll Do
Oversee Construction Contracts

You'll administer construction, professional service, and service contracts throughout project delivery, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and project objectives. From project startup to closeout, you'll help drive successful project outcomes.

Be the Trusted Point of Contact

Client-Partners, contractors, and consultants will rely on you for guidance and solutions. You'll review progress claims, coordinate contract changes, address project risks, and help resolve day-to-day contract and construction issues.

Coordinate People & Keep Work Moving

You'll work closely with site teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure activities remain aligned, communication flows effectively, and projects stay on track. When challenges arise, you'll collaborate with the right people to find practical solutions.

Champion Quality, Safety & Compliance

You'll help ensure work meets contractual, quality, health and safety, environmental, and industrial security requirements. Through regular site engagement and contract oversight, you'll contribute to safe and successful construction delivery.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage contract financials and change orders.
  • Coordinate consultant reviews and third-party testing activities.
  • Maintain project records, reports, and site documentation.
  • Support business development initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Working Environment
  • Primarily construction site-based, with regular interaction with contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Some work takes place in a typical office environment with occasional travel.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when working on active construction sites.
What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience
  • College diploma in Engineering, Applied Science, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Four (4) years of related construction or contract administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification in a related field (such as Certified Engineering Technologist)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
  • Contract, project, and risk management principles
  • Health and safety legislation and requirements

  • Proficiency with common software applications and project documentation tools
