Job summary

Avail CPA is offering a 4-month co-op in Lethbridge/Taber, AB, starting January 2027. You will work under CPA mentorship, gaining hands-on experience in compilation, review engagements, and personal and corporate tax preparation.

You will build client relationships and receive training to support your CPA journey. Eligible candidates are accounting undergraduates aiming for CPA designation, with a strong eye for detail and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting.
• Committed to Canadian CPA designation prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a dedicated coach throughout the term.
• Assist with compilation and review engagements for various businesses and not-for-profits.
• Prepare T1 personal and T2 corporate tax returns and other filings.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver quality service.
• Participate in training and CPA-path resources.

As Part of Your Co-Op Experience at Avail, You Will

• Work one-on-one with a dedicated coach who will support your development throughout your term
• Build skills by assisting with compilation and review engagements for a variety of businesses and not-for-profit organizations
• Gain experience preparing T1 personal, T2 corporate, and a variety of other tax returns
• Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver quality service and strengthen relationships
• Take part in training and have access to resources that support your studies and CPA path
