Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario is hiring a Cook for our Long-Term Care residence. You will ensure meals are prepared and served on time and maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.

The role may involve supervising Food Services Workers and addressing resident or family concerns with guidance from the Food Services Manager. Applicants should have prior cook experience (supervisory preferred), a valid Safe Food Handling Certificate, and at least high-school education; a college diploma/certificate in food

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cook, supervisory preferred.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• High school education preferred; a diploma/certificate in quality food preparation is a plus.

• Prepare and serve meals on time.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Respond to resident or family concerns and take appropriate action.
