A leading food service company is seeking a Cook for remote sites in Canada. In this role, you will prepare meals and maintain facilities for workers living in remote locations. Work Schedule: 10 hour/day 21 days on / 7 days off

Competitive Pay: $19 per hour

What You'll Do

This isn’t your average job. You’ll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. Whether you’re preparing meals, maintaining facilities, or supporting daily operations, your work makes a real impact. You’ll help create a safe, comfortable, and energizing environment for workers living far from home.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare “mise en place” (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

• A sense of adventure and readiness to live and work in a remote setting
• Large‑scale cooking in camp settings, banquet halls and/or hotels is a strong asset
• Current Food Safe certification is preferred
• Ability to commit to a 21 days on / 7 days off rotation
• A team‑player who is committed to providing client satisfaction
• Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site
• Ability to handle the following physical demands:

• Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs
• Climb ladders or stairs
• Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time
• Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands
• Perform work with arms at full length
• Work with arms above shoulder height

• A team-first attitude and strong communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods)
• Commitment to safety, respect, and inclusion
