A growing construction group is seeking an experienced Controller to take charge of financial operations across multiple projects. This role involves overseeing accounting tasks, managing budgets, leading audits, and enhancing financial visibility. Candidates should have a CPA or CMA designation and extensive experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry.   • Drive system and process improvements using ERP tools.

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take ownership of a growing construction group’s financial operations? A Construction Group is looking for a Controller to lead financial management across multiple entities and projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee accounting operations, including AR / AP, payroll, and month-end reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Lead audit preparation, HST and tax filings, and compliance.
  • Partner with project and operations teams to review job costing and improve financial visibility.
  • Drive system and process improvements using Vista by Viewpoint or similar ERP tools.
What You Bring:
  • CPA or CMA designation (required).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience - construction industry preferred.
  • Strong ASPE knowledge and multi-entity accounting skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with auditors and senior leadership.
