We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller – Client Accounting to lead national client accounting operations for a fast-growing real estate management group. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and is passionate about building strong teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional client value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of client accounting operations across Canada
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with regulatory and client requirements
• Provide strategic guidance on financial matters and risk management
• Champion technology enhancements and process improvements to support scalable growth
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding of property portfolios from a financial perspective
• Build and mentor a high‑performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning

Requirements

• CPA designation required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA is an asset)
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role
• Real estate / property management experience (must-have)
• Proficiency with Yardi (must-have)
• Experience with air space / cost share reconciliations (CAM‑style accounting for mixed‑use developments) and developer onboarding
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Advanced Excel capabilities and ERP experience
