The Senior Staff - Control Systems (Manager grade level) will be responsible to design, validate and certify the engine control systems for gas turbine engines, including new centrelines, derivative legacy engines, and hybrid/new technology demonstrators. The successful incumbent will develop system level requirements for engine controls. During the engine/aircraft concept phase, he/she will work with aircraft manufacturers to develop control system functionality. He/she will work with an integrated product team (Performance, Operability, System Safety, Design disciplines, Customer Support, etc.) to match control system functionality against the engine and aircraft requirements. The successful incumbent will understand power plant dynamics and DO-178C process as they prepare the evidence to support the engine type certificate. He/She will also work closely with suppliers to verify software, and review data for control system tests performed on simulations, engine and aircraft, and investigate field events. This is a full‑time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mississauga, and performed exclusively on‑site.

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
