Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Control, Risk and Compliance Analyst to support internal control, risk and compliance activities for savings and investment product distribution. You will analyze issues, prepare implementation plans, and interact with stakeholders across functions.

In this role you will oversee operational risk, regulatory compliance under PCMLTFA, and supervise control execution while assisting managers with corrective actions. A related degree and French language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Registration as mutual fund representative for 2 years.
• Registration as Compliance Lead.
• Knowledge of French is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior compliance officer for the distribution of savings and investment products.
• Prepare reports and present them to the relevant bodies.
• Liaise with relevant Desjardins components.
• Manage activities related to operational risk, including risk and control self-assessment, the input of operational losses, the business continuity plan and information security.
• Monitor the internal control system. Ensure that supervisory controls are completed, and be responsible for execution quality.
• Help managers identify and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure that activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing legislation (PCMLTFA) are carried out.
• Comply with policies, practices and standards, as well as legislation governing the distribution of financial products and services.

As a Control, Risk and Compliance Analyst, you help managers apply and carry out internal control, risk and compliance activities related to the distribution of savings/investment products offered in your network. More specifically, you assist with operational analysis, oversight and prevention. You analyze issues and situations. You support the professionals in your unit and help prepare opinions and implementation plans in accordance with your discipline's rules. You conduct preliminary analyses. You draw on your comprehensive knowledge of your line of business and your ability to manage complexity. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. You assist clients and partners.

• Serve as the senior compliance officer for the distribution of savings and investment products.
• Prepare reports and present them to the relevant bodies.
• Liaise with relevant Desjardins components.
