Overview

Our client is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle ensuring compliance mitigating risk and supporting business operations through strong contract management practices. This permanent role based in St. Johns NL is ideal for a highly motivated team-focused individual with an above average attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle including extensions renewals and close-outs
  • Ensure contracts comply with laws corporate policies and organizational objectives
  • Draft and review bids proposals and negotiation documents
  • Identify potential breaches or gaps in existing contracts and recommend updates
  • Develop and issue requests for proposals (RFPs) to vendors
  • Enhance company contract policies to improve compliance and reduce risk
  • Prepare reports and documentation on contract performance for leadership review
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding contract status
Experience & Attributes for Success
  • Post-secondary education in business administration management or a related field
  • 35 years of relevant contract management experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual in French and English considered a strong asset
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new systems
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed
