Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of contracts for equipment installation, facility upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Conduct on-site audits to verify compliance with:
    • Time sheets
    • Cost tracking and invoicing
    • Safety and environmental standards
    • Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings, risk assessments and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure contract alignment with operational goals.
  • Monitor contractor performance, project milestones, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with industry standards, local regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support resolution of disputes, claims, and contract variations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of contract management experience in industrial manufacturing or recycling environments.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and infrastructure used in metal/non-metal recycling operations.
  • Strong knowledge of metal recycling equipment including but not limited to shredders, shears, balers, eddy current separators and conveyor systems.
  • Proven experience in field auditing including verification of time sheets and cost tracking.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to industrial operations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience with scrap metal processing or industrial recycling plants.
  • Certification in contract management (e.g. CCMP, MRICP, MPMP) is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English and French) – French preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
