Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a senior Layout engineer to own ongoing maintenance of the Firefox Layout stack (CSS, page layout, APZ, text, images). You will work independently at a tech-lead level to keep the Layout code healthy, fix bugs, and maintain tests across Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

You will participate in planning and standards discussions, perform code reviews, and help ensure robust web layout performance in a mature codebase.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ skills with multithreaded code experience.
• Solid CSS and page-layout knowledge.
• Prior browser architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Layout area: fix bugs and regressions, keep tests green.
• Diagnose and fix Layout problems across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android.
• Carry code reviews and upkeep so other engineers can focus on mission-critical work.
• Join planning and standards/web-compat meetings as needed.
