Edon is anticipating growth in the Red Deer area and is looking for an experienced Contract Director. This leadership position will oversee contractual obligations and operational excellence. You’ll lead an integrated Operations, Caretaking, and Grounds organization to deliver safe, high‑quality service while deepening a client partnership. This position will also steward Edon’s comprehensive maintenance program and contribute to special initiatives.

Important Note: Applicants must reside in the Red Deer area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a large, multi-disciplinary team (60–80 employees) across operations, caretaking, and grounds.
  • Ensure contract compliance and KPI delivery; manage reporting and governance.
  • Oversee budgets, resource planning, and vendor management.
  • Build strong client relationships and represent Edon in governance meetings.
  • Champion safety and compliance, embedding OHS best practices.
  • Support key research, learning, sustainability and building efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in complex facilities or campus environments.
  • Strong background in contract management, KPI governance, and budget accountability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Safety leadership experience; COR/ISO familiarity is an asset.
  • Procurement & vendor management familiarity (service agreements, tendering, rate management).
  • Post-secondary education preferred; certifications such as RPA, FMA, Power Engineering are considered assets.
