Qualifications

  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience in a medium to large corporation.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Code and input vendor invoices.
  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements.
  • Resolve invoice issues with suppliers.
  • Prepare payments including cheques and online bill payments.
  • Support bank reconciliation process.

Overview

We are looking for a Contract Accounts Payable Associate to join our collaborative finance department here in Dartmouth, NS. The Accounts Payable Associate is accountable for accurate and timely recording of vendor invoices and corporate expenses, while creating and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities


  • Code and input vendor invoices

  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements

  • Resolve invoice issues with suppliers and / or branches

  • Prepare cheques / wires payments / on-line bill payments

  • Reconcile and post credit card transactions

  • Support bank reconciliation process

  • Management of electronic records


Qualifications


  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

  • Post-Secondary Accounting Certificate / Diploma

  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience, in a medium to large corporation and / or in a multi-company environment)

  • Excellent ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
