Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Ontario is seeking a Continuous Process Operator to manage the manufacturing and handling of raw materials in a continuous production facility. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of production equipment and maintain high quality standards in alignment with GMP and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and ongoing process improvements, with training provided for rail movement and powered industrial vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Chemical Processing or Mechanical discipline preferred.
• Ability to operate machinery including rail movement and powered industrial vehicles.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Capability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements is advantageous.

The Continuous Process Operator

The Continuous Process Operator is responsible for the manufacturing, processing, and handling of raw materials and finished products within a continuous operation manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of production equipment while maintaining high quality standards and compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements.

What you will do

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Support in-process quality activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and drive operational excellence.
• Promote and maintain a culture of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all work activities.
• Integrate technical and business requirements into daily operations while supporting plant objectives and overall performance.

What you will bring

• Post-Secondary education, focusing on Chemical Processing or Mechanical Discipline preferred.
• Ability to operate machinery if required, including rail movement and other powered industrial vehicles (Additional training will be provided to successful candidates).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to manage an important function in a complex plant environment, including strong conceptual, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must have the capability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
• Demonstrated high degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments with minimal supervision.

Who you are

• Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe working environment, including a working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety or applicable provincial legislation.
• General computer literacy skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, SAP, and database applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge and experience in both HACCP and ISO standards would be an asset.
